As you may or may not now, Group T is an International University College, which means at least 12,5% of its students is international.
As we represent all students, we can't allow ourselves to communicate only in Dutch.
From now on you'll find all - or at least most - information of Studentenraad on the English website, which you are reading now.
More info about the internal organs of the students' council, 'Studentenraad'.
The Studentenraad has three major tasks:
1 Representation of the students
Councils where the Studentenraad is active:
2 Communication with students and board of governors
To be able to represent students, it's necessary to know what goes wrong at school. Also in those groups where are no student representatives.
Furthermore we have to inform other students what we're doing and what we're able to do.
We communicate with the other studens by e-mail, this website, Toledo (course 'Studentenraad'), posters, our screen at the Vesalius Campus but also by talking with students.
Because we think it's important that every group is represented, we've introduced a system of group representatives. They gather a few times a year to discuss with us what they think that could go better or problemes their whole group has to do with and we are able to give them immediately some feedback.
Communication with the board of governors occurs on some fixed moments or when there are some acute problems.
3 Activities
The Studentenraad organizes each year some activities: comedy night, how to start my own business, career days, the free weekend.
There are several working groups who take care of the organization.
